29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.   On or about June 11, 2014 employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of six feet.

29 CFR 1926.20(b)(1): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to initiate and maintain such programs as may be necessary to comply with this part.   On or about June 13 2014, employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of six feet while they were performing roofing and framing operations without any form of fall protection.  The employer did not provide any verbal safety or health program to enable employees to recognize the hazards.  Hazards are associated with roofing buildings such as but not limited to fall and/or struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails shall extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access.   On or about June 11, 2014 employees were exposed to using a portable ladder on the SW side of the house to gain access to the roof that did not extend 3 feet above the landing surface.
