29 CFR 1910.265(c)(5)(ii): Stairways were not provided with a standard handrail on at least one side or on any open side: a) Debarker Area - An employee used a flight of 7 wood steps, about 30 inches wide, that rose 5 feet to the platform to access the debarker platform. The open sides of the steps were not guarded by a at least one stair railing, thereby exposing the employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 6-18-14. Abatement certification required.
