29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Alderman Electric, LLC at 3385 Heidelberg Dr., Boulder, CO 80305: On or about June 19th, 2014, an employee performing electrical work was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet to ground below. The employee was performing work to install a swamp cooler on top of a residential roof.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Alderman Electric, LLC at 3385 Heidelberg Dr., Boulder, CO 80305: On or about June 19th, 2014, an employee performing electrical work was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet to ground below while using the ladder to access the roof. The ladder did not extend at least three feet above the landing surface.
