29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: (a) On or about June 2, 2014, employees were exposed to injuries resulting from falls, while working from the unfinished second story of a two story residential building, without the benefit of a fall protection system being in place. Ortiz Construction was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) or its equivalent which was contained in OSHA inspection 922159, Citation 1, Item 1, issued July 30, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 6253 Dancing Sky, Colorado Springs, CO 80911. This citation became final on August 19, 2013.
