29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): On June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto; roof area; employees were observed working near the edge of the platform without a personal fall arrest system in place to prevent them from falling 40 feet to ground level. a) On June 24, 2013 and at times prior thereto; second and third floor; employees working near unguarded wall openings without a personal fall arrest system in place to protect them from falling 12-20 feet to ground level. b) On June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto; second and third floor; employees working near unguarded floor openings without a personal fall arrest system in place to protect them from falling 10-12 feet to the lower level. c) On June 24, 2014 and at times prior thereto; throughout the site; employees working accessing the upper floors by stairs that were not properly guarded by railing exposing them to a 6-10 foot fall to the lower levels.
