29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:  a) Worksite - Employee was working under areas where objects such as, but not limited to, power/hand tools and roofing materials could potentially fall. The employee was not provided with head protection; on, or about 6/24/2014.       Note:   Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.  a) Worksite, Roof - Employee engaged in roof work on a residential building was observed using a hand held circular saw to cut sheathing, and a pneumatic nail gun to fasten sheathing to the roof. The employee was not using eye protection; on, or about 6/24/2014.       Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels and 50-feet (15.25 m) wide or less, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety nets:  a) Worksite, roof - Employees engaged in construction activities were observed working at the roof edge of a commercial building, approximately 12 feet above the ground. Employees were not protected from falling, by guardrail systems, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems on, or about 06/24/2014.        Note:   Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
