29 CFR 1910.213(d)(1): Circular hand-fed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut a/ R & R Stairs /Middlesex NJ Site: Production Area. Delta 10 in. Unisaw Table Saw was not guarded to prevent accidental contact during operation. Guard was not provided to automatically adjust to the thickness of the stock being trimmed. Observed on/or about 07/01/2014.

29 CFR 1910.213(h)(1): The upper hood did not completely enclose the upper portion of the blade down to a point that included the end of the saw arbor. The upper hood was not constructed in such a manner and of such material that it will protect the operator from coming in contact with the blade. a/ R & R Stairs., Middlesex NJ- Middle of the Workshop- The Rockwell Delta Saw did not have a guard to protect the employee from amputation hazards. The full diameter blade of the table saw was fully exposed and no guard or device was provided to protect operator from amputation hazards. Observed on or about 07/01/2014

29 CFR 1910.213(h)(4): Radial Saw was not installed in such a manner that the front end of the unit will be slightly higher than the rear, so as to cause the cutting head to return gently to the starting position when released by the operator. (a)R & R Stairs ,Middlesex NJ-East Wall- The Rockwell Delta radial arm saw, used to cut wood did not return to the starting position when released by the operator. The radial arm saw did not work because the cable that returns the saw to its starting position was damaged. Employees last used the radial saw on or about 07/01/2014 Observed or about 7/1/2014
