29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iv)(A): Contaminated laundry was unnecessarily handled or was handled with excessive agitation: a) In the biohazard closet - Employees were piling soiled patient laundry bags on the floor, before being stored in laundry containers to be moved to another location for contractor pick-up, causing the bags to tear open and exposing other employees to the soiled laundry while entering the biohazard closet. Abatement certification is required for this item.
