29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury:  (a)Morales Framing Inc. at 1016 Bannock Street, Denver, CO: On and before 7/9/14, the employer did not ensure that eye protective equipment was used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury. Employees were performing framing work on new construction multistory townhomes. Two employees used saws and nail guns. The employees were not wearing eye protection during operation of the saws and nail guns.  The employer did not ensure that the employees were using eye protection. This condition exposed two employees to a flying projectile hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure:  (a)Morales Framing Inc. at 175 W 10th Avenue, Denver, CO: On and before 7/9/14, the employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  Employees were performing framing work on new construction multi-story townhomes.  Two employees were working at an approximate height of eighteen feet above ground level while framing the exterior wall of the third level.  The employees were not protected by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  The employer did not ensure that the employees were provided fall protection.  This condition exposed two employees to a fall hazard of approximately eighteen feet.
