29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i): Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:Note: If the employer could demonstrate that it was infeasible or created a greater hazard to use these systems, a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502 should have been developed and implemented: a) On or about 07-10-14, an employee who was installing roof decking on the east side of a ridge was walking/working from a wall top plate and truss bottom chord ten (10) feet above concrete surface without utilizing fall protection equipment. b) On or about 07-10-14, employees who had installed roof decking on the west side of a ridge were working from a 4:12 pitch roof surface with an eave edge eleven (11) feet above compacted surface without utilizing fall protection equipment.
