OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck-by/crushed and fire hazards while performing lifting operations utilizing below-the-hook lifting devices. The remotely operated lifting magnet was not marked with: the manufacturer's address, Lifting magnet identification number weight of lifting magnet, duty cycle (where applicable) the cold current (amps) at 68°F the voltage of the primary power supply or battery ASME BTH-1 Category B ASME BTH -1 Service Class The employer did not ensure that daily inspections were performed and repairs made before use of the remotely operated lifting magnet.
