29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1m) above a lower level was not protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) though (vii) establish the types of fall protection to be provided to employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers:      a) Employees were exposed to 50 ft fall hazard when working from a pipe scaffold at the back of the building that was in disrepair. The wood plank platform did not have a guardrail, nor were the employees otherwise tied off with a personal fall arrest system.       Location: 182 W 82nd Street, New York, N.Y.      On or about 7/9/2014      Repeat Violation:  The employer 786 Iron Works was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 538459, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/3/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 331 E 6th Street, New York, N.Y.       NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
