29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about July 11, 2014, employees installing shingles on a steep roof were not protected from falling to lower levels. The Southern Wisconsin Roofing Company, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b)(11),which was contained in OSHA inspection number 704319, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 1631 Metalcrest Middleton, WI 53562. The Southern Wisconsin Roofing Company, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b)(10) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 310766738, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 7, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at Hardrock/McKee Road Fitchburg, WI 53711.
