29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: At the facility the employer is failing to ensure that the employees use selected PPE in the paint mixing area. Specifically - employees are mixing paints without the use of safety glasses and wearing short sleeved shirts exposing their arms to potential contact with such chemicals as isocyonates. Isocyonates were found to be present on the surface of equipment and working surfaces within the mixing room.
