29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.  The employer does not ensure that each employee engaged in steel erection activity with an unprotected side or edge which was more than 15 or more above a lower level was protected from fall hazards.  This violation was observed on or about July 22, 2014 when employees were exposed to a fall hazard of 21 feet when doing metal framing work without a fall protection system.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure employees on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling.
