29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Parts Department - Ellis Mitre Band Saw, model number MSC17FB121B, was not provided with a safety guard on the unused portion of the blade to prevent the operator from contacting the moving saw blade. b) Fab Shop - Ellis Drill Press, model no. 9400, serial no. 94D05036, did not have a guard around the drill bit to prevent a point of operation injury.
