29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On or about 7/24/2014, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was nailing a tarp at the edge of a roof at approximately 20 feet above ground level without a means of fall protection, exposing him to a fall hazard. NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT MUST BE PROVIDED FOR THIS ITEM. J.T. Roofing & Maintenance Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315037861, citation number 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/07/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 6013 State Rd 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653.
