29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). On or about July 31, 2014, for areas such as, but not limited to, the laundry area, the employer had not adequately identified effective personal protective equipment such as chemical resistant aprons for employee protection while transferring containers of Quintet Chlorine Sanitizer and Break Alkaline Builder and Water Conditioner exposing employees to the hazards of corrosive chemicals.
