29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems: a) On or about 08-06-14, an employee who was working on the construction of a gas station canopy was walking/working on the top surface of the canopy at greater than sixteen (16) feet above concrete surface without utilizing fall protection equipment. The Rose City Canopy & Sign Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313178360, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 11-02-10, with respect to a workplace located at Clairemont Avenue & Fairfax Street; Eau Claire, WI 54701.
