29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): (a) Bracamontes, Omar dba Omar Bracamontes Construction at 5206 Andes St., Denver, CO 80249: On and before August 9th, 2014, the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falling in the following instances: 1) Two windows on the second floor, each 6 feet long, had the top edge of the window sills 27 inches high, but were missing upper guardrails that needed to be 42 inches +/- 3 inches high; and 2) The landing above the stairway on the second floor had a studded wall on each side that was 24 inches on center, with an upper rail, but was missing a midrail. The conditions exposed employees to fall hazards of up to 10 feet 9 inches.
