29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Plant: 1) A conveyor belt and roll pinchpoint at the oversize trash removal conveyor was not guarded. 2) A conveyor belt and roll pinchpoint at the short slider bed was not guarded. 3) A conveyor belt and roll pinchpoint at the lower trash conveyor was not guarded. 4) Conveyor belt and roll pinchpoints at both ends of the bag house discharge conveyor were not guarded. 5) Access to a conveyor belt and roll pinchpoint at the grasan infeed hopper was not adequately blocked. THE STRATEGIC MATERIALS INCORPORATED WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29CFR1910.212(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION 330223, CITATION 1, ITEM NUMBER 2A AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 7-23-12.
