29 CFR 1926.651(b)(2): Utility companies or owners were not contacted within established or customary local response times, advised of the proposed work, and asked to establish the location of the utility underground installations prior to the start of drilling fence post holes: 471 Wilson Street, Brewer, Maine - On August 13, 2014 the employer did not contact Dig Safe prior to an employee digging fence post holes with a gas powered auger. As a result the employee struck a natural gas line causing the evacuation of nearby businesses in Brewer.
