29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Each employer who has a workplace or work operation where exposure monitoring is required under this section shall perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees may be exposed. a. On or about August 15, 2014, in the warehouse, employees were required to change the filters in the air movers. The filter may be contaminated with asbestos fibers. No exposure assessment was completed for this task.

29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(9)(vi): Training for employees performing Class IV operations shall be consistent with EPA requirements for training of local education agency maintenance and custodial staff as set forth at 40 CFR 763.92(a)(1). Such a course shall include available information concerning the locations of thermal system insulation and surfacing ACM/PACM, and asbestos-containing flooring material, or flooring material where the absence of asbestos has not yet been certified; and instruction in recognition of damage, deterioration, and delamination of asbestos containing building materials. Such course shall take at least 2 hours. a. On or about August 15, 2014, in the warehouse the employees were required to perform Class IV work and were not provided Asbestos Awareness training as required.
