29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: The Delta Radial Saw Machine Operator was exposed to noise at 130.4% of the permissible daily exposure (8-hour time weighted average of 80 dBA) or the equivalent sound level of approximately 91.9 dBA during a 420 minute sampling period; exposure calculation includes a zero increment for the 60 minutes not sampled and the employer did not implement a continuing, effective hearing conservation program. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
