The employer shall provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee is fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace. The employer may discontinue an employee's medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator. a)Paint booth and area: On or about August 19, 2014, and prior to, employees were exposed to inhalation hazards from chemicals in paints to include toluene, xylene and Di Methyl Ether while conducting spray painting work tasks with required use of full face and half mask respirator and not provided a medical evaluation for the respirator.
