29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. A. Rider & Son Construction worksite located at 15600 Lakebend Dr., Findlay, Ohio: On or about August 19, 2014, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing weatherproofing on the 9/12 pitch two story residential structure. Employees were exposed to fall hazards up to 30.00 feet on the north side of the structure and 20.00 feet on the south side.
