29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems.  The employer does not protect employees from falling when working on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges. This violation was observed on or about August 15, 2014, at the water park site on top of the club house where two employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than 6 feet when decking a roof without a fall protection system.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in roofing activities on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.
