29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by ingoing nip points: (a) Production - The employer failed to ensure that guards or methods of guarding were adequate to protect employees from ingoing nip points on the 60 sheet line polisher. Entry doors leading to the area where rotating belts were present were not equipped with an interlock system to shut the machine down if the doors were opened during operation. (b) Production - The employer failed to ensure that guards were provided to protect employees from ingoing nip points on several areas throughout the coil polisher.
