29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices ("MUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millennium Edition, December 2000, FHWA:   a)  On August 14, 2014, Van Mack Electric Co. did not conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millennium Edition, Section 6C.05 when eastbound Caton Farm Road motor traffic road users were not redirected from their normal travel path to a new path by channelization through the work zone.  This exposed employees working in and near the traveled way to motor vehicle struck-by hazards.   b)On August 14., 2014 Van Mack Electric Co. did not conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millennium Edition, Section 6F.21 when approaching east bound Caton Farm Road motor traffic road users were not warned of a right lane closure. Employees working in and near the traveled way were exposed to being struck-by motor vehicles.    There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
