29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):  Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.      (a)  Hanson Structural Precast, Inc. at 17800 S. Redwood Rd., Bluffdale, UT 84065:  On or before August 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that three employees working at the top of a three story building were not utilizing a fall protection system.  The employees were working next to a two-foot high parapet wall at the edge of the building.  This condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet.      (b)  Hanson Structural Precast, Inc. at 17800 S. Redwood Rd., Bluffdale, UT 84065:  On or before August 18, 2014 the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were protected from injury, in that one employee working at the top of a three story building was not utilizing a fall protection system.  The employee was sitting on top of a two-foot high parapet wall at the edge of the building.  This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet.      Hanson Structural Precast, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of the same or substantially similar condition of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 315027169, Citation Number 1 Item 1 issued on January 14, 2011, and became Final Order on March 1, 2011 with respect to a workplace located at 951 Hwy 30, Heyburn, ID 83336.
