OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a) For the jobsite at 1903 Lois Ave., Tampa, FL 33607, as observed on or about 08/22/2014, safe working habits were not used when lifting 1000 - 3000 pound crates of granite countertops from a truck trailer. Employees stood inside the trailer while the crates were being lifted, were not protected from the hazard of the crate falling, and were exposed to potential crushing hazards.
