29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest system: (a) at the jobsite, fifth floor, where employees were helping pour a column at a height of 8 feet and were not protected from falling by any type of a fall protection system. (b) at the jobsite, basement, where employees were modifying the top edge of a pit measured to be 7 feet 6 inches in depth and were not protected from falling by any type of a fall protection system.
