29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502: (a) Roof, new residential construction located at 421 Buckfield Lane, Milton, GA 30004: Employee was exposed to falls of approximately 23-feet, 7-inches to the lower level while installing 1/2-inch plywood sheathing on a 6/12 pitched roof with no fall protection system in place. (b) Roof dormer top plate, new residential construction located at 421 Buckfield Lane, Milton, GA 30004: Employee was exposed to falls in excess of 25-feet to the lower level while framing 2x6 roof rafters on the top plate of the dormer with no fall protection system in place. (c) Roof, new residential construction located at 421 Buckfield Lane, Milton, GA 30004: Employee was exposed to falls of approximately 16-feet, 2-inches to the lower level while installing 1/2-inch plywood sheathing on a 6/12 pitched roof with no fall protection system in place. CJ Framing Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314207978, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/13/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 130 Generals Place, Canton, GA 30114.
