29 CFR 1910.1000(c): Table Z-3. An employee's exposure to any substance listed in Table Z-1, in any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week, shall not exceed the 8-hour time weighted average limit given for that substance in the table. a. On August 9, 2014, an employee performing the required duties as the yard driver in the shipping/receiving area was exposed to carbon monoxide at an 8 hour time weighted average of 986.8 parts per million. This exposure is approximately 20 times the calculated permissible exposure limit of 50 parts per million.
