29 CFR 1926.1101(d)(5): As supervisor of the entire project, the general contractor did not ascertain whether the asbestos contractor was in compliance with this standard, and did not require such contractor to come into compliance with this standard when necessary: The employer failed to ensure that the subcontractor was in compliance with this standard, in that the subcontractor did not identify the presence, location, and quantity of ACM and/or PACM before work in areas containing ACM and PACM began. Employees performing interior demolition removed floor tile adhered with black mastic which contained asbestos. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
