OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being caught in rotating parts. a) The employer's Ridgid pipe threader machine did not have a momentary contact device that will cause the machine to stop in an emergency such as if the employees clothing became wrapped around rotating machine parts or the rotating pipe. Location: 2239 Adam Clayton Powell Ave, New York, NY On or about 6-11-2014 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
