29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.    a) Production Facility: Employees who regularly use corrosive materials were not provided with suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes. Employees use aqueous solutions of corrosive sodium hypochlorite (AKA regular household bleach, Clorox) and mix it with water to clean the facilities. The employer provided emergency eye wash stations, but the eye wash stations were wrapped in plastic and inaccessible. The restroom facilities were not suitable for flushing of the eyes due to the size of the sinks, on or about December 22, 2015.

Such training must be provided at no cost to the employee and during working hours. The employer shall institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program.    a) Production Floor: The employer did not provide training to employees with occupational exposure regarding the hazards of exposure to blood or other potentially infections materials or with training on how to minimize exposure to the hazards. On or about 8/28/2014, the employer directed an employee to clean blood following a workplace accident where another employee sustained lacerations. The employer did not provide any of the required bloodborne pathogen training to the employee who was directed to clean the blood, on or about 8/28/2014.
