29 CFR 1926.651(j)(1): Adequate protection was not provided to protect employees from loose rock or soil that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling from an excavation face: A). on or about 09/03/14, inside of 55-27 Myrtle Ave. Ridgewood, NY Rocks and soil were placed by the edge of the excavation approximately 50 ft. x 20 ft. x 10 ft. in depth. Two employees working in an unprotected excavation were exposed to the hazard of cave-in. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.

A competent person was not conducting inspection prior to the start of work. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
