29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c): (a) Jobsite: Near- 1498 Franklin Street, Johnstown, PA 15905: On or before September 4, 2014, employees were exposed to excavation collapse hazards while installing sewer line. The excavation was approximately 7 feet 5 inches and was not shored to prevent collapse. Greenland Construction, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315562660, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on January 25, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Monongahela Valley Project- Phase 5, Donora, PA 15033.
