The condition exposed employees to fall hazards of 12.5 feet.

The condition exposed employees to a fall hazard of about 9 feet. Abatement Note: 29 CFR 1926.502(I)(4) provides that the covers over holes shall be marked with the work "HOLE" or "COVER" to provide a warning of the hazard.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step: (a)Escobedo Framing at 3932 Wild Elm Way, Fort Collins, CO 80528: On and before August 30th, 2014, the employer allowed the employees to use the top and top step of a stepladder in the following instances: 1)Employees accessed the second floor using a 6 foot Werner stepladder, model NXT1AO6, with a distance of 52 inches from the second floor landing to the top, and 64 inches from the second floor landing to the top step; and 2)Employees accessed the second floor using an 8 foot Werner stepladder, model FS108, with a distance of 32 inches from the second floor landing to the top, and 44 inches from the second floor landing to the top step. The condition exposed employees to fall hazards of 10 feet 3 inches.
