29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c): (a) Northeast Side Footers: Employees were working in a excavation with vertical walls with a depth of 6 feet 6 inches on the west side and 5 feet 5 inches on the east side, and was 4 feet 8 inches wide. The employees were not protected from cave in while working in the excavation, as determined on September 15, 2014. Abatement Certification Required for this Item.
