29 CFR 1910.334(a)(2)(ii): There was a defect or evidence of damage that could have exposes an employee to injury and the defective or damaged item was not removed from service: The employer does not ensure that damaged electrical cords are removed from service. This violation was observed on or about September 16, 2014, at the entrance of the main office where employees use a dispenser machine with a power flexible cord that had two cuts through the outer insulation of the electrical cord without the damaged cord being removed from service. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all extension cords with damages are removed from service.
