OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): OSH ACT of 1970 SECTION (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards: On or about September 23, 2014, at the jobsite located at 3400 N. Broadway, Wichita KS: Employees engaged in pressure vessel sandblasting and painting activities were exposed to struck-by hazards in that the pressure vessel was not placed on a work rack which prevented unintentional movement. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to utilize a work rack which is designed to cradle the pressure vessel in order to prevent displacement.
