29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On September 23, 2014 a personal protective equipment assessment of the work place had not been conducted. An employee working without head protection was exposed to struck-by hazards from falling brush, while using a power pruner. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 20 CFR 1903.19(c).
