29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) On or about September 25, 2014, the employer did not provide suitable eye wash facilities, which is located in the truck repair shop for quick drenching or flushing. 1. Employees are potentially exposed to ALUM-BRITE that contains Hydrofluoric and Hydrochloric Acid, which can cause serious burns or blindness. 2. Employees are potentially exposed to battery acid that contains Sulfuric Acid, which can cause severe burns or blindness. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
