This was observed on October 1, 2014.    b) Deaven Steel/Newark Shopping Plaza - An employee painting a newly installed structural steel frame less than twelve [12] inches from the edge of the future site of the Newark Natural Foods Store was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately fifteen feet while working on the roof's edge. This employee was not provided any formal training in the recognition of falls and how they are to be prevented. This was observed on October 1, 2014.

This was observed on October 1, 2014.      b)Deaven Steel/Newark Shopping Plaza - The employer did not maintain at the worksite, a site specific hazard communication program for his employees who were exposed to the hazardous chemical acetylene when performing welding  and cutting activities on the fabricated structural steel located above the former Goodwill department store. This was observed on October 1, 2014.
