29 CFR 1910.106(d)(3)(ii)(a): Metal storage cabinets construction. The bottom, top, door, and sides of cabinet were not at least No. 18 gage sheet iron and double walled with 1 1/2 - inch air space. Joints were not riveted, welded or made tight by some equally effective means. The door was not provided with a three-point lock, and the door sill was not raised at least 2 inches above the bottom of the cabinet. a) On or about 10/02/14 in the warehouse area near the office; employer failed to protect employees from a fire hazard when they allowed flammable liquids, such as but not limited to, lacquer thinner, propane to be stored in an ordinary metal cabinet without double walled air space, missing a locking mechanism and door sill less than 2 inches above bottom of the cabinet.
