OSH ACT of 1970: Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that, employees were exposed to fall hazards from an improperly rigged personal fall arrest system: Jobsite located at 170 Enterprise Drive, Bristol, Connecticut: On, or about, September 15, 2014, an employee was provided with a personal fall arrest system that was rigged in such a way that the potential fall distance was approximately 15 feet. The free fall could have subjected him to excessive forces when the fall was arrested and due to the configuration of the incline conveyor, he could have struck the ground before the fall was arrested.
