Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees who were exposed to being struck-by projectiles from ruptured piping, in that PVC pipe was used to convey compressed air.  a) In the Automotive Service Shop, on or about and at times prior to October 2, 2014, employees used compressed air to supply air to pneumatic tools, and equipment.  The compressed air was transported through schedule 40, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, not in accordance with manufacture's safe use, exposing employees to struck-by and laceration hazards.         ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
