29 CFR 1926.706(b): Masonry walls over eight feet in height were not adequately braced to prevent overturning and to prevent collapse until permanent supporting elements of the structure were in place: a) B37 Contracting, Ltd. on or about October 03, 2014, at the address of 1230 N. Westwood Ave. Toledo, OH: The employer failed to ensure a freestanding 50 ft. tall masonry block wall at the north stair well of building #1 was adequately brace to prevent overturning. Neither the designed perpendicular walls, nor temporary bracing had been installed ensuring the wall maintained sufficient lateral support. Due to this condition, employees working on or around the wall were exposed to struck-by hazards after the inadequately braced wall succumbed to environmental forces and sheered from its foundation collapsing to the ground below.
